We had wishfully talked about taking a trip across the United States.
We had not had the time or the money to give it serious consideration.
After Christmas we began thinking about our plans for the summer.
Was it time to take that trip out West?
Could we afford it? Not if we stayed in hotels or motels.
Linda had never been camping in her life.
As the weather warmed we began taking overnight camping trips.
Linda discovered she enjoyed camping outdoors.
We had a tiny Datsun 1200 - all our gear snugly fit inside.
So we carefully planned our first big adventurous trip together.
