Through the Years

1973 ~ 1974

It may take a while for pictures to load.

Our married life began September 11, 1972, in Savannah, GA.
Steve was posted in the Army at Ft. Stewart.
He had made the furniture after hours in the woodshop at Ft. Stewart.
Linda had covered the cushions of the sofa and chairs.
Steve's salvaged hand crank tympani served as end tables.
We had a two-bedroom apartment but no furniture in the second bedroom.

First Christmas ~ 20A Nelson Apartments ~ Savannah, GA ~ 1972

Our first Christmas was bittersweet because Linda returned to Stetson University
right afterwards for student internship required to complete her degree in education.
Steve remained stationed in Ft. Stewert, Georgia.
When Linda graduated we had been married 9 months but had lived together 4.
Steve still has those Craftsman tools!
The swan is one Linda made in ceramics and still graces our home.
The wrapped up presents were gifts for friends and family.
